Tiggy goes on an adventure.

Historic Reesor Ranch, Cypress Hills SK

We decided to climb up to the small conglomerate cliffs after breakfast and after the fog had lifted. We had incredible views of the ranch and beyond.

Lez found it difficult about two thirds of the way up so Lee went down and brought Tiggy up to rescue Lez. Before heading back down Lee climbed the rest of the way to the cliffs and saw the conglomerate cliffs up close.

After returning to the cabin Lee walked over to see the horses. They have 34 horses on the ranch. As Lee was standing by the fence, one of them walked over to him. Lee gave him a scratch and that was it. It would push Lee's head with its head to ask for more scratches. A wonderful moment.

We finished the evening with another great supper in the dining hall.

The feet don't handle uneven rocky terrain any more, and a climb up to the top of the conglomorate cliffs was out of the question. I parked my butt on a rocky slope overlooking the vast valley below, while Lee climbed higher onto the cliffs, taking in the view - where you really can watch your dog run away for days. (LOL). The summer prairie winds and smells were so refreshing. Lee brought the car closer so we could drive down to the ranch. After settling in we headed over to the bunkhouse for dinner. A smorg style buffet, with selections galore, aimed to feed the many hungry hikers. A quisine to match any 5 star restaurant. We sat bunkhouse style, and enjoyed the company of a traveller from Maidstone SK.
