Remembering Opa Zwaal.

A quiet day today. Lee took the Tiggy over so Aaron could change out the headlights. All is good now.

Today would have been Piet Zwaal's 102 birthday. He has been gone a long time but we have fond memories.

Chores day! Yes, after the entertaining evening, laundry calls.

Now I can settle back at the sewing machine and add more squares to a project that technically started in 2000.

We often sit on a bench that was in the back hallway in the big house. It fits our balcony perfectly.

As we watched the sunset and darkened skies, a familiar wave of light appeared in the darkness - Aurora Borealis! We quickly hopped in Tiggy and headed out of the city to get clear of the "light noise" a city gives off. It's been a long while since we have observed the Northern Lights and now that we know of they are prevelant at this time of year, we will be heading out to see if we can capture them with our camera and tripod.
