A bolt in the right direction.

Pioneer RV Park, Whitehorse YT (1 star)

Lee notes that ever since the Meziadin Junction short-cut incident he has been very careful with the driver's side front stabilizer on the Schooner. The pin is bent and the sleeve, which was spot welded in place has come off. There are several reputable RV dealers in Whitehorse and none have ever had one of these either in stock or brought in for a customer. One dealer had a different size one that had been on the rack for over 10 years and was likely to be there for another 10 years according to the parts person.

Lee has a plan B to make things a little easier until we get to Edmonton. He'll just use a simple high grade bolt as a pin and put a wing nut on the end to make sure it doesn't slip out. Whitehorse even has a steel and parts business that sold him a high grade bolt just for this purpose.

Has Lee mentioned that Whitehorse is quite a place; it has almost all of the stores and services of a big city on the prairies. Who knew.

Another clear blue, potentially 30c day. Plans are to visit the Gerien's in Whitehorse.

Fortunately we wore the shortest of shorts, and light t-shirts. It was a 30c day but very comfy in Gary and Linda's home. We had a super visit. Did we take pics - even of Linda (who is now the Quilts of Valour society president, and I oops.

Back at the RV, we were agan thankful that Hobbes would not have been subjected to this heat. I think I had a touch of heat stroke, as I was feeling woosie a while ago. Now, am feeling better and it is also really cooling off - outside more than inside, but still a cool breeze.
