We spent a good portion of our trip in the Netherlands. There were family members to visit and tourist places to visit.

This was Lezley's first exposure to the Netherlands, its people, customs and language. It was like being thrown in the deep end.

Something must have clicked though because she has been back there many, many times and has learned to speak some passable Dutch.
