Tape to tape, wrong tape.
Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)
The Holdens arrived back at Surfside after a winter in southern California. They had less than ideal weather for a good portion of it as global weather seems to be unusual all over.
Lee uses the nice weather to re-organize some stuff; I think he is anxious to get going, just like Lez. But first, the play-offs.
We tuned in on the radio to the Generals game being played in Campbell River. A most unusual situation as the Generals are behind in the series by a game and in the first period the Storm take a one goal lead.
Well, be patient. Four unanswered goals later (including one by Brady Van Herk) and the series is tied.
A bit of a chore day, but with the warmth of a sun today we were able to have windows and the roof vent open for most of the day. The morning's second cup (of home brewed coffee) was enjoying in the lawn chairs at the back of the RV and calm view of the estuary, black-tailed deer, lots of water fowl, but no otters. We are hoping to see some of them coming in to catch the herring that come in on the tide.
The Generals are in Campbell River tonight and we have the radio tuned to listen to the game on the radio. The "Storm" player made a great tape to tape pass to another player, LOL - unfortunately not his team mate. Johnson got a clear shot and did not miss.
What a game! A 5-2 win for Oceanside. Texting back and forth with Van Herk's mom throughout the game. Looking forward to the next game!
