Out come the fishing boats.

We saw the first herring seiner today, the Viking Cavalier, built in 1978. The word had been that the herring were coming south along the coast and yesterday had reached between Bowser and French Creek. Well, here they are. We can expect to see the boats for a day or two.

Coffee this morning with Chris and Joan after what feels like a long hiatus. Both are friends through the common connection with Quilts of Valour. It is interesting, no longer being involved in something that I spearheaded that I have truly stepped away from. It does a heart good to see the organization is still going on, run by volunteers all. Our military veterans are still receiving the quilted hugs. Cleaned up my sewing space with the small quilt needing only the loose threads tucked in. No, I don't have a designated recipient yet Time to tuck the sewing equipment away - until a rainy week, or other project peeks my interest. Once we are travelling - sightseeing, photography, and hiking take over the day.
