Game day, finally. But not the result we wanted.

The downside of cheering for a very good hockey team in the play-offs is that there are many days between games because we generally sweep series 4-0 and other series go the full seven games. Lez is getting antsy, but tonight's the night.
Lee says that the Generals' string of 28 successive wins would end some time and tonight it did. In the first game of the second round of play-offs they lost 2-0 to the Campbell River Storm. Forget about it and get ready for game two.
Surfside knitting and sewing afternoon at the main clubhouse. There are a few ladies who have been meeting weekly, and I was made to feel very welcome, so late in the season. I didn't bring anything to work on, but think I had better find whatever knitting project I was considering!
The Storm were truly more organized in their plays - the passing and shots on goal than were our Generals. Hoping the boys have taken this wakeup call to heart and we will see a series that puts us going into the next round. 962 fans filled the Howie Meeker arena. We saw standing room only. Final score 2-0 with the Gens taking home the goose egg.
