Our hockey season is over.

Lee smiles. He has hooked up with one of his best friends and his wife after two years of Covid-driven absence. We had a great time in the Schooner.

Lee took a quick glance over his shoulder during supper to note that the Generals had lost the sixth game in Saanich. That's it for their season. He will miss the hockey, the team, the rink and the fans around us in the stands.

Lez notes: The Oceanside Generals lost their game and are now out of the playoffs. It has been a good junior hockey season, and truly entertaining. We will be picking up season tickets next season.

Long standing friends Aubrey Eichel and Deb Woods joined us for dinner in the Schooner. It's been a few years since we have been able to visit and what a great time we had. They have come up here for the weekend, and we connect again tomorrow.

We have been watching RV's moving out and moving in over the past few days - month end, season end for many. This is our last month here this season. We are starting to think what will be packed away, what will be made accessible. Lee has a route planned for our summer adventures and, although we will be close to my mom and brother now, I am getting excited about hitting the road and seeing more of Canada and more friends. But first, I have curtains to make to replace the blinds. Sewing machine will be busy this week.
