It's chores day around the Schooner.

Lee notices that chores always rear their heads when we are expecting guests. Oh well, they need to be done. Lee goes for groceries and wine. Thereafter he hauls the laundry down to the laundry building and gets that done.
Phew. Need a late afternoon nap to catch his breath.
Lez wonders: where did the day go. Oh ya - first the fridge freezer flanges were thick with the ice build up, and one of the jars on the rack in front of the flanges was about to be enveloped. I hate cleaning the fridge and put it off far too long. It involves boiling lots of water and putting the steaming containers into the various parts of the emptied out fridge to loosen the ice. This of course then manages to fall out in pieces, several of which hit the floor. Well, the floor needed washing anyway. Once the fridge was re-stocked, it became obvious that the carpet was in dire need of a vacuuming. Spring cleaning done.
Lee did a big chore for us too - groceries to restock some items in the fridge. He then took our load of laundry down the way to the small clubhouse where there are two washers and dryers - two toonies a load. Some people have small washing machine and dryer setup in their units - but those units are somewhat bigger than ours.
The weather was great again today, so each of us took our turns going walkabout with Hobbes. He would have preferred to stay outside a lot more and explore even further, but there are too many potential hazards - like the Eagle.
An otherwise quiet afternoon at the sewing table, measuring up and cutting fabric for more curtains to replace the fan-fold blinds. A quiet evening, and a great chat when sis Fran phoned.
