The Generals win again.

Lee notes that the daily temperature is inching up every day now. It is almost comfortable to work long periods of time outside, as long as you work in the sunshine.

We went to game five of the VIJHL final round tonight and watched the Generals overcome a 2-0 deficit to win 7-4 and force a sixth game. There were over 900 fans packed into Howie Meeker Arena and it was rocking, especially after the Generals tied it up and went ahead. We sit with the family of one of the players, Brady van Herk, who were delighted to see their son/grandson get three assists in the game.

Our evening entertainment was the Oceanside General's 5th game of the series and we won it. Next game is possibly their last of the season if they do not win it. It will be played in North Saanich. The gentleman beside me had his phone on the stats for the game - there were 914 people officially in attendance - standing room around the one end of the rink.

After the game we noticed neighbour Ron had his firepit going so we went over to see if he would like some company. He noted that popcorn would be nice LOL - so I made us a batch of the movie theatre popcorn and we chatted until the very light rain started.
