Blood, sweat and tears.
Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)
Lee understands that today's blog phrase is accurate, but, Lez pricks her finger and draws blood. Huh! She's a quilter extraordinaire - she should never have something like that happen. Well, a slip of the tongue, er, needle I guess.
The French Creek Pub, as always, great food and very conducive to conversation and laughs. Lee hopes to see Aubrey and Deb again soon, probably in the fall when we return to Vancouver Island.
Lez chuckles: What does that phrase mean Well, I am working on curtains for the RV, so we can remove the blinds. A nice lightweight cotton, off-white colour, with a fine white design. I stabbed myself on a sewing pin and didn't notice the blood drops on the fabric! I did get the tiny red spots out, whew! Curtains now hang at the dining table.
It was very warm in the RV as the sun, little that there was, warmed up the RV work space, aka sewing area, that overlooks the estuary out the back window. I was sweating and had to change from sweatshirt to t-shirt!
And tears of joy when I heard my brother was out of the hospital in Mexico, and will be back on Canadian soil later this week.
Our evening began with a dinner at the French Creek Marine Pub - with friends Aub and Deb and with my mom. A great time as we all had stories to share. The Man and I are now at our computers, blogging and researching and listening to the local radio station. Right stuffed.
