French Creek Fry.

Lee notes that the French Creek Marina we visited today is essentially a working, fishing marina. Nothing fancy about it, just lots of fishing boats, the Lasqueti Island Ferry (that looks like a fishing boat) and the French Creek Fish Store. And all around, the smell of ocean and fish.

We went to French Creek to catch some photos of the seiners fishing for herring and to have lunch. What Lee didn't expect was to cautiously walk along one of the breakwaters until he was about ten meters from an eagle. Lee captured a wonderful set of photos of that magnificent bird.

Lez exclaims: Oh what a photo day! We headed off to French Creek after our usual hearty breakfast to catch some photos around French Creek. Camera batteries charged and a couple of spares along too. We were very fortunate to see Mr. Eagle - and what a beautiful creature he is! Choosing which photo of the day will be a tough decision.

We have taken many photos from our RV site towards French Creek, and today we have "looking back" to where we have been docked this winter. We then enjoyed a scrumptuous plate of Fish and Chips - Lee had the Halibut, and I had the Cod. Right stuffed.

We were graced with a very noble Bald Eagle who must be used to posing for the tourists. What a beautiful creature! Yes, I am repeating myself. Enjoy the photos, they say it all.
