Lee says: well, not me, I don't have a kite. But there were sure lots of them in the air on the Parksville Park grass field. A nice strong wind, even though it was cold, brought out hundreds of people to walk, jog, sit and watch.
Lez smiles: memories of dad and his hyper kites. We didn't see any of those, but certainly enjoyed the kites that were in the air over the Parksvile Park today. Amazing the dexterity that one of the kite flyers showed when he "parked" his kite right beside Lee and then lifted it up - so slick!
We picked up pizza after that and enjoyed dinner without anyone having to cook. After dinner we sat in mom's living room and started into conversation that led to stories of mom growing up with her brothers and sisters, various life adventures growing up in Regina. Wish I had turned on a tape recorder!
