Oh really, you can swim out there.

Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)

Lee has noticed that we are seeing more summertime activities around Surfside because we are still here about a month after we normally leave. One of them is people swimming in Parksville Bay. A neighbour told us that this bay has the warmest water on the coast all the way down to California.

True to the nice weather, our nieces Korynn and Suzynn went swimming a number of times while visiting. And tonight, Lez took off her sandals and wandered in for a bit of a stroll.

The evening ended with a beautiful sunset over the bay.

Lunch with mom at Gary's Bistro in Qualicum Beach, a place that Lee must see before we leave. It showcases the owner's love of classic cars.

Nieces Korynn and Suzy came out to our RV and spent some time swimming in Parksville Bay. The tides were low and lots of people were enjoying the shallow bay.

Later, the shallow waters just invited my bare feet and off came the sandals. It is so peaceful here. Pre-tourist season, just starting to become a little busier than the winters we have spent.

We wandered the boardwalk later and a took a dozen photos of the ever changing orange sunset over French Creek.
