Kicking up the clams.

Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)

We four had a great time on the beach at Rathtrevor Park looking for interesting clams and other shells. It was very low tide and Lee, Aaron and Alec were able to walk out quite a long distance.

We then had a great lunch with grandma Janie Worel and bro Ralph. The humourous stories were flying. We then said good-bye to our sons until September and they left to catch a flight in Victoria.

Today we all headed to Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park and had a super walkabout enjoying the sunny day. The tide was out - far out. We spent a lot of time looking down at the shore treasures, a gazillion sea shells, clam shells - some clamped closed by the muscle inside.

A hungry crew headed to Ricky's for lunch. Service was remarkably slow. It was not that busy with customers. We did enjoy lots of conversation and banter. It felt so good to spend time with the boys and mom and bro.

We spent a leisurely rest of the day sitting outside the back of the RV overlooking the Parksville Boardwalk and Hobbes enjoyed his lawn chair and then the warm stones.
