The Coq is behind us.
Map - Merritt to HopeHope Valley RV Park (1 star)
Lee is comforted in seeing that the trek across the Coquihalla is completely dry and clear, given that a couple of days earlier there had been serious snow storms on that road.
We stayed over at a familiar campground, but this time in a site close to the Hope Flood Road. Lee is used to the train noise across the road, but this time it is complemented by the diesel trucks from the workers staying here while they work on, probably, the Trans Mountain pipeline.
Lez notes an easy ride: We headed out from Moon Shadow and found a very quiet Coquihalla - nothing like the yesterday! The route along the Coquihalla was unremarkable - and we settled into the Hope Valley campground - where we stayed last year heading out to the island. The potential road weather issues thankfully did not appear, and we were relieved and slept soundly. You don't realize how much stress you feel until it's gone.
