The drive brings back memories.

Time to head into Regina. We took Highway 56 down to Indian Head and then west on the Trans-Canada. As we drove past McLean, it brought back memories of the Trans Canada Campground on the south side of the highway where Lee's parents would take their trailer camping on weekends. Once we docked at King's Acres, a little research showed that someone has re-opened that campground. Nice memories.
We visited Brenda Hicks later in the day and had a wonderful time, including hot lemonade of course. Lee's good friend Aubrey Hicks had recently passed and we had some warming stories about our 40 years of knowing each other.
Lez says: On the road again! This destination is Regina - my home town. My sisters are here and friends from school/university and life before 1982. So much has changed, and yet so much has not.
Our route along Highway 56 north of Indian Head took us past the Historic Bell Barn. We must backtrack some time and visit it.
We are camping on the east side - LOL likely close to where the olde Kiddieland was located a bazillion years ago. (1950's)
We grabbed some dinner fixins and headed over to visit with Brenda Hicks. It was an evening of great memories, and emotional missing Aubrey. We did catch up on all our kids and Hicks' grandkids. It was a special evening.
