Well, Lee thinks this pulling the Schooner is coming back pretty fast. After lunch in Merritt, he ended up on highway 5A instead of highway 5 (the Coquihalla). No problem, back into a small side road, and head back in the right direction. Sometime later while getting ready to fill up in Kamloops, he pulls a turn into the gas station a little too tight and touches the side of the Schooner on a barrier. He catches it in the mirror in time and backs up but the door step has been slightly bent. Need to practice and pay attention a little more.
We settled in at Blue River campground for the night. A little primitive in all aspects. With some help from the operator, we got the electricity and water working.
There's nothing like a good bottle of wine and king crab to make you forget you are RV-ing.
Lez grimaces: OK - so when we started using the various media devices in the RV we were so excited we had brought along our 500 CD's. After about a month, the CD unit quit playing a CD after about 50 seconds. Any CD. SO, sigh, we spent the rest of our time listening to local radio stations. Works great as long as we could find a good Rock and Roll oldies station!
Fast forward a year to our docking tonight in Blue River Campground. With full service, the campground is so VERY Rockies - mountains, forest and meadow and the freshest pine smell not in a spray! Mother Earth is coming out in me.
As I unpacked my laptop and straightened out the shelves of CD's that shifted in travel - well, it's always darkest before it dawns on ya! (quote from Charlie Farqueson/aka Don Harron). I have a CD PLAYER on my laptop!
We dined on our French Creek BC Crab Legs, a Tinhorn Pinot Gris - and The Guess Who groovin' and we're groovin' right along. Big smile.
