Marlin and Karin's house, Kona-Kailua HI (2 stars)

Well, the news was that a 10' by 10' patch of runway had been compromised due to heavy rain. They patched it overnight and we checking for tonight's flight to Vancouver.

I guess we have to put up with +22C and sunshine by the pool for one more day.

The Segals dropped us off at the airport around 10:00 pm and we left Kona at midnight.

Well, we are still in Hawaii, at our hosts. There is an "issue" on the runway and there is no alternative. As Lee monitored the internet for the status of the flight, we informed the family looking after our RV, confirmed with the parking lot that our pickup truck parked at the airport would be ok there for another day.

It is a very grey and rainy day today and it is currently 69F (metric- 20C eh!) Not sure what the plans are, but breakfast is first. Our flight leaves late this evening.
