Shopping in the rain.

We drove to Nanaimo today for a medical appointment and to do some shopping. All of it in a gentle coastal rain. Hey, it could be -15c and snowing.

A concern with what I think is a bladder infection had us heading to the Nanaimo General Hospital for various tests, including a CAT scan. They didn't find any cats. I had to stop eating anything for two hours before the scan. I did however have to provide them with a full bladder - drinking four cups of water, while graciously being offered 2 cups of a clear juice in place of the water.

We took our water bottles with us as we always have them handy. When all done tests, I was to drink 4 more cups of fluid. I was floating! We will get a results report in about three days. Unfortunately, I left my Contigo water bottle at Nanaimo General Hospital waiting room. It is very distinguished as the lid has a very pink heart dabbed on with nail polish. We weren't even down the entry steps when I realized it and went right back in - but by then, the mug was gone and the staff didn't see it. Although I do not wish anyone ill, I can only hope he or she doesn't catch my cold.
