Chesapeake Shores while we snores.

Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)

There has been activity in the Curling Club down the way and on the Boardwalk for some days now. This morning as we were waking up, the noise got louder. It turns out a production company was filming an episode of the Hallmark series Chesapeake Shores in the curling club and on the Boardwalk. Later in the afternoon we biked over and watched them filming a scene with Treat Williams.

Lez notes: Back in the saddle. The first bicycle ride since last summer sometime (and somewhere! Need to read the blog!). We toured the Surfside RV resort, noted a large number of vacant RV lots now empty. We then headed out towards the beach boardwalk. What a busy surprise! I had thought the crew had left. It turns out they just changed location to film the Hallmark walk on the sunset beach scene. A large busy film crew and "action", "quiet on the set", "cut", noise again. Just like you see in the movies. That's how the dialog really goes. And at least four "do-overs" for a 20 second clip. We were not the only outsider tourist watching it all in awe.
