Seeing our favourite band one more time.

Lee thinks of tonight's band member line-up as the Streetheart Supergroup. Joining permanent members Jeff Neill, Paul McNair and Daryl Gutheil were bassist Ken 'Spider" Sinnaeve (he is a founding member of Streetheart) and drummer Dave Langguth. With those two making up the rhythm section, it was possibly the strongest and best line-up we have seen in the 43 times we have watched them perform. An outstanding gig.

Jeff and Daryl were well aware of Lez losing her mother this past year. They both came down to the barrier (we were right up front as usual) and gave Lez a big hug and words of condolence. A very touching couple of moments.

New Years Eve at Century Casino, Edmonton, AB. Dinner and a Rock concert. Streetheart helped us and lots of other rock 'n rollers and fans of the band sing long with them to bring in the new year in unison. It was, as always, a super set of their songs which we all know and sang along with them. Not necessarily in tune but that's ok ! We know the words and do our best .

There were a few tears, as I didn't expect them to give me their condolences. Special friends forever. I did smile through though and had to laugh too because the other ladies in the row did not get quite the same attention.
