No one on the Yellowhead but us.

Holiday Inn Express, Hinton AB

Travelling mid-week in November is quiet, as we saw on the way out to the island. But it seemed even quieter on the way back. The road from Kamloops to Hinton was very quiet with mostly trucks now and then. The road was in good shape.

We stopped in Blue River for lunch. There were no restaurants open except for the Grizzly Shack. It looks like an ice cream stand that operates July and August. Well, it turns out she is open year-round and offers all sorts of hit dishes. Quite a place.

Tiggy made it from Kamloops to Hinton with more than a quarter tank to spare. And then we filled it with Alberta gas which costs over 30 cents less per litre.

I guess we are home.

Road conditions great, very quiet, some wild life but truly "unremarkable".

Tk'emlups or as it is known as Kamloops was pretty quiet.

The Grizzly Shack, a fast food and good food "shack" is definitely worth a share with anyone going through Blue River.

Feels good to be back in Alberta. Already anxious to get back to the sewing machine and dig into the totes of fabric waiting to be part of another quilt.

Yes, looking forward to be being back home, catching up with the boys and the Macarena ladies.

More adventures await.
