We had a soft opening.

Lee notes that his good friend Ted was our first guest for dinner in the apartment. We talked for hours, as always.

Ted gave Lee an un-assembled model of a Victory ship many years ago. This winter, Lee wants to start the process of re-designing it to look like the SS Waterman. Lee and his family emigrated to Canada on the Waterman, which was originally a Victory ship called La Grande Victory and modified by the Dutch government for emigrant use after WWII. Ted had some good advice for Lee today.

Our first guest in our apartment joined us for dinner this evening. This is what we called our "soft opening", as it was the first time we had a dinner guest in the apartment. Long standing friend Ted and Lee talked the whole night away, bringing back memories and sharing our worlds today.
