Roll out the barrel.
Well, don't really roll it. We brought one of our wine barrels from Alec's garage and put it in our living room. The other one has stayed put for now because it is three quarters full of used corks and weighs a ton. The one here looks great and brings back memories of all the years we have had those barrels. Lee probably restored them in the 90's.
We attended a car show in Windermere and were able to gawk at a Morgan, a Lancia Zagato, an MGA and a new Lamborghini Urus.
After supper we drove out to the Zeissler acreage, the place we like to call Port Ordze, and had a relaxing time around their firepit.
The apartment is looking and feeling more and more like home. Yes, the Schooner, our RV, was our home for four years and very comfortable at that. It gave us the freedom to wander a very good portion of western Canada, which we have shared through our Zwaal Diary. With my memory loss, it has become something I am so glad we did - and still do in sharing our adventures.
Yes, we are settled now, however, the travel plans are already being discussed. Being able to lock and go on a whim is now very appealing. Being close to the boys and their partners and families is also very appealing. We have many wonderful memories of the house and neighbourhood where we all were starting out with no sidewalks, no lawn, no fences . Oh the things we did! From finishing the house to fencing the yard, and making new friends - who are now very great long-standing friends.
Our adventures continue. Stay tuned.
