Horseshoe Canyon views.

Before heading to Drumheller and Stettler, we stopped at Horseshoe Canyon, which is an upriver side canyon of the Red Deer River valley in which Drumheller is located. The view are amazing and clearly show the many layers of sediment that exist from canyon bottom to prairie top.

We had an uneventful drive to Stettler and settled in at the campground we had used three years before.

We stopped at Horseshoe Canyon for over an hour, over looking and photographing the prairie land and the coulees. Words cannot describe the raw beauty, the dry harsh environment that still has me spellbound.
