Thunder all around the Schooner.
Pioneer RV Park, Whitehorse YT (1 star)
We took a day to prepare for our next couple of weeks on the road. In essence, we will not be in any city or town as big as Whitehorse for that length of time, perhaps even longer. So, we stocked up on basic supplies.
Funny thing about this RV park. We are back in the same spot as last time and it rained again. Not as severe as a week ago, but the place is wet all the same. We feel like hunkering down inside until it clears.
Well, here we are - August. The summer air feels a touch of super hot, and evenings really cooling off. Fire pits and BBQ's and plenty of time outdoors as long as it isn't raining as we are right into summer holiday mode - whether travelling or staying put. We, of course, are still wandering, but today was "chores" day - into Whitehorse for various Cdn Tire items and a healthy (LOL) shop at the Super Store. Yes, travelling does have it's down to earth get your chores done days.
Back at the Schooner, we enjoyed a late lunch and are watching to see if there will be a thunderstorm to come along with the huge Cumulo Nimbus clouds on several horizons. We our catching up on correspondence, downloading pictures (lost count now) and filling in the blog. With my memory issues, I find the blog very helpful.
I keep in touch with the Ladies Night group of long-standing girlfriends, and it is great to hear what is going as others are travelling or receiving summer visitors. Safe travels and great visits to all.
