Map - Kitwanga to Meziadin Lake

Meziadin Lake Provincial Park, Meziadin Lake BC (2 stars)

A couple of hours drive and we arrived in Meziadin Lake Provincial Park. The view out our back window is amazing.

Miles and miles of smiles and smiles welcome SUMMER 2023.

The view out my back window is spectacular - again. We have backed the Schooner almost to the drop off of land into Lake Meziadin. No worries, we are parked on a pad ready for the large RVs. There is plenty of land before we get wet.

When we arrived earlier today it was very calm and a photo shows reflections of the shores in the lake, and even a spot where you can see the rock bottom in the shallows. We set up our lawn chairs behind the Schooner and put the camera to work. Instead of detaching Chuck and exploring more, we settled into the lawn chairs and spent the afternoon in the sun and wind. The wind increased and white caps could be seen in the distance on the lake. Lee did poke around the park a little, and met up with a camping couple from Port Alberni. We were forewarned to keep all windows closed to avoid the bugs from getting into the RV. It was also welcomed as it helped keep the flying pests at bay. It is a mosquito haven.

I settled into a paperback novel and enjoyed a lazy day. Lee BBQ'd skewered chicken which we enjoyed with mixed veggies.

It has been a quiet evening - there is no WIFI, no TV, no cell service. But the CD player has power and U2 has been keeping us enjoying their music.

It is now 10 PM as I write this, and the skies are still not dark, the sun set about an hour ago. I'm not sure we will have full darkness.
