Touring the rock quarry.

Map - Terrace to Port Edward

Kinnikinnick Campground and RV Park, Port Edward BC (1 star)

We had a nice drive out from Terrace, mostly hugging the Skeena River shoreline. What an amazing river.

Lee notes (once again) that a view of a campground from Google Maps has very little depth perception. Like this campground, for example. It looks flat, but is actually incredibly hilly and rock strewn.

It does not help that when faced with two forks on a road, our choice is usually to the right. Not this place. We are up a very sharp incline when the owner comes over and says that we should approach our site V from the other way. Lee is not sure how he managed, but he got the rig turned around and then came up the other way. Then, to back into site V. All in all, things worked out alright.

Site V - short for Vhat the##**! were the campground designers thinking We are camped in a rock quarry! View out our back window today is precious LOL. Lee did an incredible job backing the 37' RV into the 37.5 ft site backing off the narrow road in.

If I could cartoon draw, I would have a half dozen squirrels sitting on the rocks behind us betting on how many forths and backings would it take.

We are safe and sound, using the internet which we weren't sure we'd have. All is not lost.
