Confused Snow Geese.
Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)
As Lee sits at his desk doing whatever, he sees the flock of about a dozen Snow Geese flying from left to right, right to left, left to right. It's like they don't know which way is north or south. Actually, they don't care; they live here permanently so we see them moving around the estuary and Parksville Park in one singular flock.
What is also funny is their honking, which is quieter and higher in pitch than Canada Geese. So when they sometimes fly together it sounds like the Snow Geese are desperately trying to 'fit in' with Canada Geese, but their quiet squeeky honks just don't cut it.
Lee is busy today too at the kitchen counter. He's put together a couple of snackies for desserts, and is now cooking up a storm - and a beautiful smell of chicken to go with the rice and peanut sauce he also made.
I am spoiled.
It's actually a good thing he has taken up cooking, because I am dealing with a head cold that is going through our stash of "tissues" and energy level is pretty low. Early to bed for sure.
