Getting itchy to leave.
Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)
Lee spends part of the day going over tasks not yet completed before we leave for Pacific Rim National Park. Better to do them now in case parts are needed. There are no parts stores in Tofino unless you count the surf board rental places.
Lee has read up on the origins of what people on the prairies call donairs. It seems they started in Canada in Halifax and expanded west from there. The result is different names and different ingredients across Canada. Lee notes this because we finally decided to try the 'donair' place in Parksville. Nope. More like a chicken veggie wrap. We miss the Royal Donair shop in Sherwood Park a lot.
I joined mom for lunch, something I had not done for a while. We covered all things interesting and had a great Ricky's lunch.
Mom confided that Ralph is scheduled to come home from hip replacement surgery tomorrow and she is worried that he should not be driving so soon. The replacement was on his good leg so he would need to use that leg to drive. I agree and make arrangements for Lee to go over to the mainland to rescue Ralph.
