A winning road trip.

A road trip today to watch the Generals play-off game in Campbell River. First up we get some groceries (at a bigger store than in Parksville) and then have a nice supper. OK, now to watch the boys play.

Unbelievable but the Generals fall behind and tie the game with a couple of minutes to play. Then they win it in overtime. Almost a duplicate of how they won a few days ago.

So, we decide to pick up coffee and Timbits at Timmies to enjoy on the drive home. Nope. All closed up by 10 pm. We search the internet and find one open in Comox, halfway home. Success, sort of. No Timbits available; we settle for doughnuts. A Timmies without Timbits is like an Esso Station without fuel. Would you like some windshield wipers instead.

We are at the game in Campbell River with the Van Herk family and a bunch of other Generals fans who have made the trip. Nail biting time as we finally tie the game late and then play almnost 12 minutes of overtime before winning.

A satisfying drive home on a divided highway with absolutely no traffic either direction. Vancouver Island is already asleep.
