Careful what you say at a hockey game.

There are many phrases in hockey that will come back to bite you. Lee thought of one today - just mail in the two points. After all, we are playing a not-so-good team. Well, be careful. We almost didn't win this one. And to use another phrase that is bad - we haven't seen the team lose all year. Oh-oh.

The VIJHL is closing in on the end of the regular season, with only 4 more games after tonight's 7-4 win at home defeating the Westshore Wolves. We enjoyed the usual banter with the Van Herk family as we cheered on their Brady and the Generals. Brady is one thoughtful person, having heard that a young fan had hoped he could receive a part of Brady's broken hockey stick from a past game. When Brady found out, he arranged for a surprise for the young lad and presented him with one of his sticks from his Everett hockey days.

Looking forward to the playoffs, as I'm not ready to drop hockey for this winter.
