Back in family history.
Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)
Lee dives back into slide scanning. And he goes further back into time. A bunch of slides from our first 24 Heures du Mans in 1986, then some oldies from the mid-70's. As he digs deeper into the big box he comes upon a number of Kodak slide carousels. Does anyone remember those Yup, we have all the equipment stored in Edmonton. He finds one carousel with more 1986 Europe pictures and then, wow, three carousels with dad Worel's pictures from northern Saskatchewan circa 1966-1971. There will be some smiles as those get scanned in the next few days.
Meanwhile, I'm busy at the sewing table, working on the quilt. This time, it is a wall-hanging filled with maple leaves - and I may keep this one! I have a perfect spot for it. LOL.
As usual, the day started with a brunch and then we were busy at our own projects until dinner hour. We did take time out when the sun actually showed through the clouds and went for a walk that gave me the opportunity to take another 30+ photos, including the eagle in his or her favourite perch in a huge tree near the Surfside entrance. Dinner became a joint effort to make Schnitzel and Spatzle - which the two of us choreograph at the 3 burner stove top.
