Melee in Parksville Park.
Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)
We got up early (for us) and headed out to the Parksville Boardwalk after breakfast. There were many Canada Geese sitting in a flock on the grass and many seagulls in a flock on the sand where the sandcastle competition is held each summer. Well, don't dogs just love to dash in and upset things. The resulting melee is worth watching as the air literally goes dark with birds that have been scared up by a happy dog.
This evening we went to the Generals hockey game. We have seen some interesting plays over the years but we had one tonight that we think takes the cake. Never mind that the Generals won the game 9-1, but in the second period the Generals had a four man break-away from their own blue line. Four man! They went off-side! Unbelievable.
Well, back to reality LOL. Suitcases unpacked and the week's pile of projects and quilt paraphernalia is now on my back table. Many photos from the retreat are ready to now go through.
The walk on the Boardwalk was a very refreshing lazy morning. It feels good to be home in our winter location.
What a game the Generals had! I have not verified with stats but I wouldn't be surprised if every player had at least one point! I truly enjoy hockey night - wherever I may be.
