An apprehensive pussy cat.
Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)
Hobbes took Lee for a walk today, or was it the other way around. After the kicking deer incident yesterday, Hobbes was a little reluctant to go out but did so later in the afternoon.
Lee scanned slides from our first vacation after we were married. It was July 1973 in the Rocky Mountains and we froze to death due to a mid-summer snowfall. Lez remembers how we spent one night sleeping in the front seats of Clem while having it run all night with the heater on.
Lez is stationed at her sewing machine, enjoying the sunlight and warmth it brings to the RV. Curtains on hold as I am working on the baby quilt for Trend-Tex. Now that I am into the pattern it is not as simple as it looked - or else the instructions are not a clear as they could be. Got all the pieces cut, and the rows are starting to come together.
I should clarify - Clem was our VW Fastback that took us on quite a few adventures before it changed hands to Lee's sister.
The weather cooperated long enough for Lee to BBQ a pair of beef skewers, and prepared a great Greek salad for dinner. The slides he is scanning provided a lot of memories to talk about.
