Slides and sew show.
Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)
Lee is determined to finish the scanning of the slides from our honeymoon trip to Europe in 1972.
While taking Hobbes for a walk at one point in the afternoon the sound of hundreds of Brant Geese chattering in Parksville Bay can be easily heard. Hobbes is more interested in the deer wandering up past our Schooner.
Lee finishes the 1972 slide scanning later in the day and Lez and Lee share many memories about that trip while enjoying a cheese fondue to end the day.
Lez is busy cutting fabric into small squares and rectangles and sewing them back togetherm which is known as making a quilt. LOL. Yes the day was basically spent at the sewing table, with the 8 quilt block pieces cut and some actually sewn back together according to the pattern. I only have 8 different coloured blocks to make - but they are not a simple pattern.
I spent some time looking over the scanned slides, some will need to be made lighter, and some of the memories need enlightening. Those were taken almost 50 years ago.
I will have to continue tomorrow.
