The gang of five.
Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)
Lee observes the five Snow Geese that inhabit the estuary almost every day. They always fly together. They also like to hang out with the Canada Geese. Somehow, Lee thinks the Canada Geese think of them as poor cousins. They cannot even let out with a decent goose honk. They are more like squawkers, which probably irritates the big boy geese.
After supper, Lee walked up to the grocery store for a couple of items. It was after 9:00 pm and the Island Highway was deserted (one car in the far distance and one at the gas station). Even so, he pushed the walk light button just for fun and waited until the light went green. What a true Canadian, eh.
Lez takes a break from quilting: Am making a couple of wall-hanging quilts and will share after we head out to continue our adventures further north along Vancouver Island. Once we hit the road again, the sewing machines get "parked".
Today was very quiet on the estuary, Hobbes was out a fair bit this afternoon, with Lee and then with me. He is sleeping soundly at the moment. A warm sun today. Lee is busy making us dinner - I am so spoiled.
