Don't try this in Edmonton in the winter.

Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)

Lee was off to the Surfside carpentry shop with Ron our neighbour right after breakfast. It was nice to see a fully stocked shop, even though I only used the table saw and chop saw. We were done in no time cutting the pieces for the fire place.

After lunch, Lee assembled the main addition to the fireplace, doing so on Chuck's tailgate. As he was glueing pieces together, in January, it occurred to him this would not go well in Edmonton's weather. It may be overcast, but great weather for working outside.

For supper, Lee made a home-made chicken and alfredo pizza. Yum!

After a busy day assembling the new framework for the new fireplace the man dons his apron and changes from woodworker to chef. Home made pizza, using the breadmaker for dough - and a raid of the fridge for various ingredients and voila! Add a bottle of red wine and a gourmet dinner again. We are not lacking for anything.
