Waiting out the weather.
Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)
Lee is fighting a cold today, and he does not mean the temperature outside. Sniffles and sleep. He ends up much better by supper time in order to watch the Oil Kings and a couple of movies. Lez made a fantastic supper, which probably helped Lee get better much quicker.
Here's hoping tomorrow will be warmer as promised. Lee has no idea how the 'basement' fared during this cold spell, that being the heated locker underneath the bedroom. The locks on that locker were frozen today but he should be able to open them tomorrow.
Lez notes: Well, it is still hovering around the -7C range as we move closer to midnight. Snow is not melting, but at least has stopped. Lee will find a good photo for the day from others taken this week. We are pleased with the warmth we are able to maintain in the RV. This is the coldest and longest length of time of cold we have spent in the unit. I hope to get out to walk, even if only to take out the garbage! I promise more photos if the sun does come out tomorrow.
The lazy day poking through the Family Tree software, with a few updates, emails and looking for samples of silhouettes for a quilt wall hanging I am working on. Tomorrow - find the black fabric! The lit up Christmas Tree wall hanging will be folded away until next year. Time to set up the mid-arm quilting machine again and get to work.
Via live-streaming we watched the Oil Kings lose 6-5 to the Regina Pats - in Brandt Centre, our old team and our old haunt. Six of our team members are playing in the 2022 IIHF WORLD JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP, but the Kings did ok. Memories of Regina's olde orginal barn are now only that - memories, and great ones too. We then watched TWO movies tonight LOL - this is truly becoming a winter staple.
