Early morning walk, while the sun was briefly out.

Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)

Lee was up early and went for a walk around Surfside. It was a beautiful, clear morning that became light rain by the time he got back to the Schooner. So goes the weather on Vancouver Island's Oceanside coast.

Lez notes: The weather was a real mixed bag. We had the darkest skies and we had blue skies, and a mix of skies. The tide was very high, and the estuary waters were extra high as the Englishman River is flowing with all the rain we have been getting. This has made for some interesting changes in the locations of the tree roots and trunks that float in the estuary and get caught up in the higher ground as the tide goes out. At one point, a big log floated by and there were several ducks just sitting on it going for a ride.
