The generals get stormed.

An afternoon hockey game. Ah, it was nice to take in. Back to simplet times, Lee thinks. Simple wooden benches, no heat to speak of and a 'crowd' of 275 fans.
The Storm beat the Generals, but who cares. We got our eight dollars worth.
We're getting to be regular fans, in it for the long haul. After the game, we went next door (everything is next door in Parksville) to Canadian Tire to buy a couple of cushions that will make the next game a little more comfortable.
Lez observes: The day dawns. At least we know the sun has come up , because it is light out. The fog is so thick, we cannot see the boardwalk out our dining room window. Goin' sewin' until time to head out to the Generals game. It's been awhile since we have been to an afternoon hockey game. We enjoyed the game, although the Generals lost. They did outshoot the Campbell River Storm. We ended up sitting beside a group we sat beside last game! They recognized us (or our face masks LOL). Yes, I wore my "colours", as did Lee. We had our Oil King jerseys on - hoping to inspire others to wear their jerseys - or even purchase their team's jersey. People assume we are parents/grandparents of the kids on the ice. We laugh - no we just love this level of hockey - entertainment without breaking the bank!
Picked up a couple of grocs, and enjoyed a cheese fondue for dinner. Settled back into our evening of computer and sewing. Yes, it was raining.
