What a domestic pair we are.
Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)
Lee started out by taking a load of laundry to the laundry building. That took several hours, but the time was passed on his laptop and enjoying the fantastic view across the Salish Sea.
We went to mom Worel's for supper. Lee went out to pick up at Saigon's. The route from mom's goes through downtown Parksville. 5:30 pm and not a single vehicle either driving or parked on 'main street', which is also the Alberni Highway. Yes, the sidewalks had already been rolled up.
Lez yawns: A lazy morning, a little more respectible rising after 9. A few more totes of fabric have come out of the "basement" (undercarriage storage of the RV), and the next couple of days I will be doing some reorganization. Perfect timing for the downturn in the weather in the next few days. Already the Schooner is rocking tonight - courtesy Mother Nature. I should be busy for the next few days!
Lee offered to do the mountain of laundry and I settled in to defrost and wipe down the fridge. I think I need to do it more often. Lots of ice build up on the cooler flanges. Yes, a self-defrosting is something to consider when this fridge poops out.
Ralph called and invited us over for dinner at mom's - takeout from Saigon Kitchen. Mom's Christmas tree is up and decorated with many (truly many) of her Santa collection ornaments. ONLY Santa ornaments.
A nice evening catching up on the week we all had, and caught the first half of the movie "The Revenant". We were all tired from our busy day, so the rest of the movie has been recorded and we can catch it next time we are there.
