Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)

Lee convinces Lez to get up early and join some folks who go birding every Tuesday in Parksville. Meet at 9:00 am in the Parksville Community Park their website states. Well, 9:15 and not a car shows up. We go shopping and enjoy the sunshine. When we're home, Lee calls them to inquire about the birding walk. Well, the website is out of date but if you scroll all the way down and find a sentence that says. Pfffttt! That's no way to present a website, I'm just saying. Maybe next week.

Lez yawns: What time is this Oh. Well, a good breakfast and the plan to go walkabout at 9 a.m. and observe Parksville birds with other birders. Lee checks the website for the group - and off we go to the meet at the usual Parksville/Corfield locatoin. As we wait and wait for others to show up realize what a beautiful weather morning it is! And there were no others at the parking area ready to hike for a couple of hours. Disappointed but not discouraged, as Lee notes - a very unsuitable website for finding current info for the walks.

Not ones to let the great weather pass us by, we wandered out to do a little shopping - at the Dutch Store! A must "stop by" shop at Coombs. Stocked up on goodies but much too late to pick up the right chocolate letters. That's ok - M for mom and P for pop. And a W for my brother, and M for my mom!

I am busy messing up the back table with various projects in various levels of incompletion!
