Water lapping at our toes.

Lee finds it amazing that the pull of moon can move that much water every six hours.
He will have to re-consider letting Hobbes go out on his own. Hobbes managed to move about fifty meters in ten minutes or so. When Lee got down there by the laundry building, calling for him, he casually came out from between RVs with that meow that seems to say 'Oh, hi'. Lee replies "oh, no more'.
Lez is awoken by a rockin' Schooner: It was still pretty dark, but the winds were truly rockin' the joint. Fortunately nothing was lost or carried off by the wind. I snuggled under the covers and slept until the sun came out.
We marvelled at a very high tide today - water in areas that are generally quite dry, logs normally resting on shore were floating in the estuary, and not a duck or goose to be found. As the day went on, the waters subsided, and photos will show the difference! One would never have known there had been lakes where we could walk a few hours later. The ducks eventually flew back.
Mom came by for tea this afternoon - bringing a sweet treat too! We enjoyed catching up on our past week, and will join her and Ralph tomorrow for dinner.
The rain held off long enough for Hobbes to wander off without the tethering - getting braver with each footstep. When Lee went to check on him, he was nowhere to be seen. Mom and I both went out calling for Hobbes. Lee found him way down the road coming out from behind an RV close to the laundry building! So much for letting him wander.
The Oil Kings were on 'TV' this evening - streaming version with a radio station announcer - works great! However, we were winning most of the game, tied at the end, and Saskatoon scored the game winner. We will catch another couple of games as the Kings are on their out of town swing in the next few days. Love it that we can watch our team.
