Geez, we've taken a lot of pictures.

Lee got right into documenting more scanned photos today. There are two trays of them and they have to get done before we leave next spring. It took all day to process a set from Lez's 1998 trip to the Netherlands. So many memories for her.
Later on, Lee started into our 1997 trip to Europe. Oh boy, it will be tomorrow before those photos are catalogued.
It's so nice to have the internet and a working TV. First, we live-streamed the Oil Kings game (we lost) and then we watched a replay of McDavid's tying goal (absolutely fantastic) in the Oilers win. Back in the good old days, we would have scanned the sports section of the newspaper the day afterwards for a photo or two and some commentary. Lee likes the good new days much better.
Lez smiles: Breakfast and photos before 10 am! What's going on Sunshine! And a bird in the tree across the street - what might it be Ahhh - a Flicker! Got a nice photo. So, am outside now - turning to the estuary! Sun lighting things up, and captured photos of the Black Tailed Deer grazing. It is supposed to be a dismal rainy day. Not going to complain! But I do want to sew today.
With the back curtain propped up, I spent the day in natural light, continuing with more quilt squares for the tree skirt back. Later in the afternoon neighbour "Howie" knocked on the back window and made hand signals pointing to the estuary and then like taking a photo. Didn't take much to understand something worth photographing was out there. Sure enough - the Eagle was enjoying a critter meal. Yes, photos were taken! It is life on the estuary. It took off with its catch dangling and headed for the big trees where another Eagle was waiting to share.
Speaking of meal, we did cook up the rest of the Hake, and added the veggie patties and the left over wine from the night before. Attention then turned to the Oil Kings game (played in Calgary) - which we lost 6-5. Pretty good come back actually. I went back to the sewing machine. Just a few more blocks needed to complete the back; then trim, pin the layers and quilt!
