What's in YOUR rear view mirror.
Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)
Lee dragged (no effort needed) Lez to Rathtrevor Park right after breakfast to scope out the place for a campfire and picnic sometime when the weather is nicer. We followed that by a walk on the beach there. The wind actually felt warm.
We got back in Chuck to go home when we noticed a gull sitting on the box cover. He didn't even flinch when Lee opened the rear window. Neat experience.
Lez is dragged kickin' and screamin' - NOT! What a great morning out at Rathtrevor. Beach walks are high on my list of regrouping or refocusing thoughts. If you need to "take in" a timeless treasure - an ocean beach stroll is one I recommend. At Rathtrevor there are paths set out - for ease of getting to the sands and to keep the public off the natural grasses. Needless to say, the cameras were clickin'.
We came back ready to settle in with the photo updates, Lee is working on labelling the old photos as they are scanned. I spent most of the day at the sewing machine - using up leftover bits of fabric - clearing out old "stash", or as I prefer to note, putting the "collection" to good use.
Dinner tonight was Hake. It's a fish! Thanks to the sharing neighbours we were able to make another "gourmet" meal in the RV. One thing we do not lack is a variety of great meals. We found a honey/mustard sauce that went very well with the white fish. There will be more for Friday tonight - perhaps with our famous (LOL) veggies patties. A perfect way to start an evening with dinner and an Oil Kings hockey game live streaming.
