Blinded by the blinds, just humming along.
Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)
Lee attacked several of the blinds on the Schooner, hoping to repair them (again) so we can operate them properly. The cords in them just don't seem to last very long, especially with heavy use (as in, open and close once per day!).
Lez is sewing: The Janome is humming away as a quilt top is coming together. It was expected to be a rainy day, but ended up being a mix of sun and cloud. Hobbes and I wandered out a few times, not for long and not far. I think he just likes sitting at the open door and viewing the world - something he did on the veranda at the old house. Safe on the veranda, sometimes falling asleep in the rocking chair, sometimes right against the door. The weather is pretty cool these days here at the RV resort and it is also a busy area, with small site spaces - compared to the yard he was used to. His wandering opportunities are gone, so we do try to get outside with him as often as he insists. We do not let him out without one of us being there with him - the eagle is just a little too close for comfort some days, and we do not wish to give it any chance of deciding Hobbes would make a good meal.
The quilt top is together, now to find some batting and a large enough piece of fabric for a backing. I may keep the Log Cabin and Lone Wolf quilt for myself! It will be awhile I'm sure before I actually quilt it. And I have 25 quilt blocks left over (ok I got a little over enthusiastic making the Log Cabin blocks).
We watched the Oil Kings annihilate the Brandon Wheat Kings tonight with a score of 9-2. Another game tomorrow night - looking forward to sharing the game with Ralph and mom!
