Hump day, no humps in the estuary.
Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)
Lee took Chuck in for a warranty recall first thing. First thing means Lez was still in bed, fast asleep.
It's Wednesday, hump day, but the whales cannot come into the estuary so we don't see humps around here. Maybe we'll see something next time we go to French Creek for "supplies".
Hobbes pouts: Lez defers to Hobbes: It is back to blustery, rainy and cold. OK, cold is relative at 11C. But enough to stay inside! Updating this blog and editing photos. Plan to sew today - quilt blocks are ready to be turned into a quilt. More to come as our day unfolds.
Well the sun actually came out and the wind dropped. The afternoon was a nice warm day, and Hobbes and I spent quite a bit of time outside. Lee was out doing chores. The sewing machine saw no fabric today! The Heron came by and posed for photos, lots of Mallards are around, and we were privy to viewing a feast of some poor critter as the Eagle is back and enjoyed his meal in the estuary on one of the stump piles. The Belted Kingfisher was around again too. Unlike yesterday, there was no airshow as it was catching its dinner of flying bugs.
We had a cheese fondue for dinner - haven't done that in ages. A quiet evening after a great day.
