Need to bicycle more often.
Meadow Lake Lions Campground (1 star)
Lee hummed and hawed, but finally decided that we should stay put for one more day. It was blowing from the west at almost 60 kph and that meant the entire trip to Cold Lake would be with either head wind or side wind. Not much fun, so we stayed put (albeit we had to move to the site next to us).
Since we were going to keep Chuck and the Schooner tethered, Lee took his bike to get some groceries. Rubber legs upon return; definitely need to bike more.
Lez was concerned: Watching the pine tree trunks bending in the wind, she wondered if we should stick around if we could get a spot. There is a big baseball tournament on this weekend here. Fortunately the spot next to us was not booked, so we lightly tethered the unit and moved over one site. Even then, there were a few shifts of cupboard items. It doesn't take much movement.
Mom Worel inspires. A phrase I often use is "where there's a Worel, there's a way" taking from mom's version "where there's a Hill, there's a way". We don't give up, we find a way!
We have a radio in our RV, but we are truly classic rock and roll fans, and we are in the heart of Saskatchewan country music. I miss the rock bands we have not been able to catch for a year, and this season, although they are getting back on the road, our travel paths are not connecting. The CD player has issues, SO, I have been tethered the lap top to the phone today - listening to our home town Edmonton station K-97!
